Neurosurgery and Health Care Reform

America’s neurosurgeons strongly support improving our nation’s health care system; however, the CNS firmly believes that the Affordable Care Act (ACA) goes far beyond that which is necessary to fix what is broken with the current health care system. Rather than enacting a carefully targeted set of reforms that would improve access to affordable health insurance and redress a number of deplorable insurance practices, the ACA vastly expands the federal government’s role in healthcare and fails to address significant problems with the current system. This portion of the website is dedicated to items concerning the world of neurosurgery and health care reform.
