    My Dear Boy,

…I saw in awer dayly papers wheir the Nobel Prize had been awarded [to] the medical [people] in America. I want it to land there next year to and be given to my boy. But I am afraid the awarders might think they should not always favor America even if worthy of it for fear of seeming favoritism. Have they ever given to the same nation 2 years in succesion in the branch of science? Well I am anxious to hear how you are getting on in your new calling and if you are still consulted about your old one. Also if the new man is succesfull. And above all things, don't work to hard. Look after your self first.

    God bless my boy.

    Your affectionate Father
