Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Promotes a professional, positive, and supportive work environment.
- Manages an effective and cost-efficient recruitment and selection program that meets the needs of the association and results in recruiting and maintaining a high caliber diversified workforce.
- Develops templates for job descriptions and provides guidance to supervisors on writing/updating job descriptions.
- Manages new hire onboarding and employee recognition programs.
- Provides timely notification to Directors/Managers when employee performance appraisals are due. Ensure performance appraisals are administered fairly and consistently.
- Assists staff in arranging professional development seminars/programs to maintain and retain a skilled and motivated staff. Develops and/or identifies training and development programs.
- Provides coaching to employees in areas related to personal and professional development.
- Act as liaison with benefit providers and insurance brokers and assists with employee questions related to benefits.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains and updates the CNS Employee Handbook annually.
- Assists with payroll data entry and other payroll related functions.
- Maintains personnel files and required employment documentation for all employees in compliance with recommended record keeping practices and association policy.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Maintains organization chart and staff directory.
- Completes designated salary/benefits surveys for external vendors and maintains current results for reference.
- Oversees Employee Engagement Survey process annually.
- Maintains a working knowledge of federal and state legislation that impacts the various facets of the personnel function to ensure practices and policies comply.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A minimum of three years’ experience in human resource management in a professional environment, preferably in a medical/physician association.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
- SHRM-CP highly desired.
- Experience with ADP WorkforceNow application.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience in budgeting and managing vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment and tact.
- Excellent writing, grammatical, and proofreading skills required.
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment with light noise. Work may be frequently interrupted. The employee will spend the majority of the workday sitting, computing, and talking/hearing. May require lifting (boxes) in the 10-25 lb. range requiring the ability to bend at the waist and knee.
Schedule and Travel Requirements
May require more than 37.5 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position. Ability to travel to meetings at national, regional, or local venues and fulfill evening or weekend obligations. Under 10% air travel is required.

Starting salary of 77-90k, commensurate with experience.
